The Awesomeness Of Don Q
While down in Dodgeville for an event at the Dodgeville Public Library in April, I finally got to stay at a hotel I’d been driving past and wanting to stay at for years, the Don Q Inn.
Was it because of the awesome airplane outside that apparently has Farrah Fawcett’s signature on the hull? Could it be because there’s a room inside in which you can sleep inside a hot air balloon (tethered to the floor of the room)? Or was it because you could sleep inside a space capsule in a moon landing themed room?
Yes, yes, yes, and after touring the entire place with the owner, a multitude of more yesses (I know, that’s not a real word). This place is almost too awesome for explanation. There were so many themed rooms, it was almost impossible for me to keep up.
Note: It’s just minutes away from some of the best attractions in Southwest Wisconsin (two of which are in the film), Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, the House On The Rock, Cave of the Mounds, and Governor Dodge State Park. I seriously am in love with this place and hope to stay there whenever I’m in the area.

Cheeseheads: The Documentary 
Is there anywhere in Eau Claire where I can get a copy on DVD? Looks like things are going really well for you. Don Q’s looks very interesting, we may have to try it out some time. – Sherry Moore
