The Marcol Miracle Game Ball
When Chester and I were at an event last summer, a couple came in with an official NFL game ball that they said was the actual ball the Chester had kicked & caught for the touchdown in the 1980 home opener against the Bears. From all evidence they had with them, it seems as if it was the actual ball and Chester thought that to be the case as well.
I finally got to these pictures we took that day, and it’s a pretty cool piece of history to have for both the film and the site. Oh the things you learn when you go looking. And sometimes knowledge comes to you.
