Carthage College Campus
When in Kenosha, visit Carthage College (if you can find it). It’s a coastline beauty of a campus on the shores of Lake Michigan. Nestled off the road behind an arboretum (see photos), it’s a stunner of a campus, a hidden gem, and tranquil as eternity. Okay, I’m overreaching like writers often do, but I had an amazingly peaceful hour hanging out on campus. So when in Kenosha, do the same. It also happens to be the Alma Matter of Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler (who is in the film).
