Vintage Painter Christine Mount Kapp & Her Wisconsin Connection
We first met Christine Mount Kapp, Professional Oil Painter of Vintage and Americana styles of painting, at the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee last August during their summer arts festival. Immediately drawn to her work as for its evident Wisconsin and Midwest depictions, we were able to secure an interview with her a couple of months later for the documentary on a visit to the Chateau Saint Croix winery in Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin (we’ll have more on the winery in a later post). Turns out that some of Chrisine’s work is influenced by both her family lineage from Wisconsin, as well as the state’s idealic landscapes and landmarks that still maintain a vintage feel in a modern world.
