Super Bowl XLV – Sarah “The Cheese Lady” Kaufmann Sculpts Wisconsin Cheese For SB45 Week

We had a fantastic time on Thursday with Sarah Kaufmann, also known as “The Cheese Lady”, at Central Market in Fort Worth where she sculpted crashing Packers and Steelers helmets and a Vince Lombardi Trophy into a 300 pound block of Henning’s Cheese from Wisconsin (see the link to their site on our home page under Artisan Cheese).  We were also able to steal her away to do an interview for “CHEESEHEADS: The Documentary” as she is a self-admitted life-long cheesehead, and humorously proud of it.

Throughout the store at Central Market there were also a number of Wisconsin Cheese displays including a 9 foot tall goal post made of Bel Gioioso provolone and signs in the cheese case reading “Welcome All Cheeseheads” & “Delicious Wisconsin Cheese”.  Go figure, we finally got some cheesehead lovers in Texas.

Many thanks to all involved in this event, especially Sarah, Linda, and Andy for welcoming us in and giving us yet another great “Cheesehead” story to tell in the documentary.
