Duel Cheesehead Connection To Shotgun Lovesongs Novel
Interestingly, there is a duel Cheesehead connection to the recently published Nickolas Butler debut novel “Shotgun Lovesongs”, that being that the author lives in Northern Wisconsin (in a rural area next door to a buffalo farm), and that the books cover photo was taken by, well, me, also from Wisconsin and a proud Cheesehead. The publisher contacted me last year about one of the photos on this website, thinking it ideal to visually represent Small Town USA (aka nearly all of Wisconsin), and it certainly does. Here’s a tagline from Amazon.
“It’s a place like hundreds of others, nothing special, really. But for four friends—all born and raised in this small Wisconsin town—it is home. And now they are men, coming into their own, or struggling to do so.”
Upon its release in Mid-March, “Shotgun Lovesong” became a best seller, and was featured on Amazon.com as Book Of The Month. And while I had nothing to do with that success, I’m proud to be a part of it all the same as the smaller half of this duel Cheesehead connection for what is now becoming a popular novel.
I have my copy and it’s quite good so far. Go get yours here at Amazon. You can also get the audio book version of it HERE or in iTunes.
