Wisconsin Supper Clubs, Old-Fashioned and Open to All – NYTimes.com

We spent some time checking out what a Supper Club was in Wisconsin (since it would seem that is one of the few places they still exist, as well as the Michigan U.P.) so it was a delight to run across this article in the New York Times that talks all about them.  We’ll have more of our own photos  and information on them as we get through the incredibly vast amounts of material we’ve gathered this year.

Note that the article and photos are copyright of the New York Times and are used here for information purposes only (click one of the photos to be taken to the original article).

Holly De Ruyter, a filmmaker from Green Bay, has been working on a documentary about supper clubs for a couple of years. The film is almost completed but, we need to raise additional funds to get it completed and sent out to film festivals. Check out the Kickstarter campaign at the link below. You can see a video, get more information, and pledge a donation. Please spread the word!
