Vintage Painter Christine Mount Kapp & Her Wisconsin Connection

We first met Christine Mount Kapp, Professional Oil Painter of Vintage and Americana styles of painting, at the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee last August during their summer arts festival.  Immediately drawn to her work as for its evident Wisconsin and Midwest depictions, we were able to secure an interview with her a couple of months later for the documentary on a visit to the Chateau Saint Croix winery in Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin (we’ll have more on the winery in a later post).  Turns out that some of Chrisine’s work is influenced by both her family lineage from Wisconsin, as well as the state’s idealic landscapes and landmarks that still maintain a vintage feel in a modern world.  Many thanks to Christine for the interview, and to the Chateau Saint Croix winery for hosting us that day.  Photos of her work from that day are below.  Please also check her out for more of her great paintings at Mount Kapp Fine Art Gallery or go to her Google+ page Vintage Painter.
